Merry Christmas!

Boy what a difference a year makes....this year was so much fun for us to watch Grey open gifts!  He just kept saying, "I want more presents!" And he was having the time of his life!  Thank you so much to all of our family for those 'perfect' gifts and to "Bamma" Duer for letting John and I head to church by ourselves on Christmas Eve Eve to celebrate the reason behind all of the giving.

I've attached several pix...and 2 videos.  In one video...we are at Nana and Pap-Pap Hanchak's house with my brother and his family.  Grey and Graham got a Dunebuggy and they are out taking it for it's first spin. And in the second video, Grey is opening one of his favorite things...a Volkswagon Bug.  His Grandma Duer drives a yellow one and there may be a little obsession with cars starting none too soon for this little guy.  Nevermind that this one is pink and for Barbies!

Happy Birthday our sweet little boy! Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 9:24 PM feels like just yesterday...and here we are with a 2 year old!  Thank you to all of our friends and family that helped make Greyson's birthday extra special...from the cards, to the gifts, to all our little friends who played with Greyson until he was tuckered out.  We are humbled by how loved he is.

To Greyson...YEAH!  You're 2!  Our lives are filled with so much light...and energy...it's hard to contain how much love our hearts have for you.  We never imagined ample amounts of zerberts, eskimo kisses, hits love taps, and knuckles would be this much fun....and we wuv ew!

ooooooohhhhh!  so much to choose from...but I'm an M&M lover at heart!

and more firsts....

Greyson had his first haircut tonight with my stylist Kim, sniff sniff.  He did so well (thanks to fruit snacks and M & M's).  And mommy did well too....not even a tear.  Here's our new big boy!

Fall....

We are loving fall!  And having so much fun!  We are most happy about a Penn State win over that Iowa team this past weekend.  Grey is learning to listen and repeat...and repeat....and repeat everything you say and do....which is why it makes you feel even more silly when you act silly in front of your kids and they mimic you.  In this video, Grey is helping mommy cheer on those Nittany Lions!  And in another picture, you'll notice our first real injury...that resulted in a golf ball sized knot on Grey's forehead.  Doorjams and nearly 2 year olds don't mesh well together. :(

We're hoping your fall is off to a cozy start...cheering on your favorite teams but taking time to enjoy the leaves and fall walks.  Halloween is just around the corner!  Remember to mute the music at the bottom of the blog before you play the video...

Are you ready for some football?

We love football in this house!  Although Grey has two very different influences as to whom to cheer for...so we've got it covered and everyone's happy.  First up...those UNI Panthers.  They gave the clones a run for their money this year and hands down played the better game...but lost it in the last 40 seconds.  Bummer!

And as for the battle in Iowa this weekend...we're all Cyclones!  Don't you always have to cheer for the underdog?  Come on!  Let's go State!

And lastly...we'd like to give a shout out to a very special friend of ours that lives in Wisconsin...Ms. Emma!  She is Grey's new play buddy...and they got along really well.  I think I hear wedding bells in the near future...and if that happens...wouldn't it be wonderful to have a best friend be a mom-in-law with you?  Emma...and Marce...our door is always open and we'd love to have you anytime.  We miss you!

Pool fun and friends too!

Boy oh Boy!  We LOVE water...and anything outdoors (especially smelling flowers and checking out bugs)...and walks with our grandma!  We have been having so much fun with the warm weather and little rain.  We even had a visit from the Ruffcorns and are thinking that Greyson is in love with those two girls!  It's crazy to think that Avri will be 13 in November and that Anna just turned 10...I mean it feels like yesterday I was lovin' them up when they were Grey's age and now they are running around chasing and tickling Grey.  It is so fun to watch them grow....but I just want to relish in every stage...and remember that I really should be stopping to smell the flowers more often.
